All out to defend education in London and Manchester on Saturday 29th January!

March against higher tuition fees, education cuts and scrapping of EMA this Saturday in London and Manchester!


LONDON

We will be assembling at University of London Union, Malet Street at 12noon

The march will go past Parliament and rally at Millbank from 2pm

Supporters include: UCU, GMB, CWU, Unite, NUS Black Students’ Campaign, University of London Union, National Campaign Against Fees and Cuts, Education Activist Network and the Free Education Campaign. The National Union of Students has shamefully refused to back the demonstration.


MANCHESTER

We will be assembling from 10.30am at University Place, opposite the Manchester Museum. The march will begin at 11.00am.

The Rally will begin in Platt Fields Park at 1.00pm and finish by 3.00pm.

The day looks set to be inspiring with a comprehensive list of speakers, collated by the TUC, which include Aaron Porter, NUS; Sally Hunt, UCU; Kay Carberry, TUC; Len McCluskey, Unite; Mark Wrack, FBU and Christine Blower, NUT. Click here for a full line up.

What’s the route?
The march will start at 11.00am and proceed south via Oxford Road and Wilmslow Road to Platt Fields Park
