Video report: hundreds rally in defence of multiculturalism – Cameron will not divide us

Last week hundreds rallied in central London to defend multiculturalism against Tory PM David Cameron’s attempt to divide us in the midst of his historic attack on the welfare state which will devastate our society and economy.

The event was organised by Unite Against Fascism and One Society Many Cultures and brought together a huge array of speakers – from a range of political parties, faiths and backgrounds – to celebrate the diversity of British society and take on the Tory bigotry.

Unite Against Fascism has launched a petition in defence of multiculturalism – there are already over 5,000 signatures! Add your name by clicking here and encourage your friends to do the same.

Check out the full report of the event on the Unite Against Fascism website.

Below we share speeches from Ismail Patel of the British Muslim Initiative and Edie Friedman executive director, Jewish Council for Racial Equality.
