NATIONAL DEMO, SAT 21 JUNE: Stand Up For Education – No More Austerity!

Join the People’s Assembly, trade unions, anti-cuts campaigners and progressives in a national demonstration on Saturday 21 June to reject the government’s vicious austerity agenda.

The People’s Assembly Against Austerity is holding a national demonstration and free festival on Saturday 21 June 2014.

The Student Assembly Against Austerity is coordinating a ‘Stand Up For Education’ student bloc – assembling at 1pm at BBC HQ. Join the facebook event here.

Speakers and performers at the free festival include comedians Russell Brand and Francesca Martinez.

The Student Assembly Against Austerity is also hosting a national meeting the day after the demo – on Sunday 22 June – to bring students from across the country together to discuss the next steps in:
- Building a student movement for free education
- Fighting all cuts to education and all public services
- Stopping the privatization of the student loan book and bringing back EMA
- Supporting trade unions in their struggle for fair pay

The meeting is taking place on Sunday 22 June from 11am – 5pm at SOAS. All students that want to campaign to end austerity welcome!
